Proper Logo?

Will www.TheGing.com ever get a proper logo? Well maybe! Someone I met on IRC has offered to make me a nice Flash one! But also I've been playing with 'The Gimp'. It's so cool, in fact I may get around to making us a proper logo myself.
Here's what my hour playing about on 'The Gimp' produced:
I don't think it's too bad for a first go. Hopefully I'll be able to make much better ones soon!
Also for anyone who's interested in alpha blending on PNGs here's the same image on a dark background:
Note: PNG are superior to GIF in every way.
